Polychain-backed OpenLedger launches OPEN mainnet for AI data attribution and creator payments

OpenLedger has launched the OPEN Mainnet, a decentralized network designed to address growing concerns regarding AI training data sourcing by establishing data provenance and automated contributor compensation. This system, termed "Payable AI," allows users to upload datasets into shared "datanets" where developers can train models and automatically route payments via smart contracts, mimicking creator platform economics for researchers and experts.

The core of the mainnet is a "Proof of Attribution" system that records the lineage of datasets, models, and agents on-chain, enabling verifiable credits and payouts based on usage. The protocol uses its native OPEN token to distribute rewards based on these attribution trails, positioning itself as a "Data-as-a-Shared-Service" infrastructure.

OpenLedger, which previously raised an $8 million seed round led by Polychain Capital and Borderless Capital, is part of the growing trend of web3 AI infrastructure projects. While the OPEN token has been trading since September, it has experienced significant downward pressure, trading over 80% below its launch levels.
