Ripple has launched a new initiative to embed artificial intelligence (AI) into the XRP Ledger (XRPL) development lifecycle to enhance security as the network scales for institutional use. This strategy focuses on adversarial code scanning, AI-assisted reviews, and threat modeling across new and existing interactions. Ripple established a dedicated AI-assisted red team to pressure-test the system, which has already uncovered over 10 bugs, all of which are low-severity and being fixed. Additional security measures include modernizing the codebase, strengthening partner collaboration, expanding bug bounty programs, and defining stricter security benchmarks for protocol amendments. The upcoming XRPL release will prioritize these security fixes and improvements over introducing new features.
