ZKsync lists real-world infrastructure as core focus in 2026 roadmap
Summary
Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution ZKsync, led by CEO Alex Gluchowski, has outlined an aggressive 2026 roadmap centered on building real-world use cases and institutional adoption. This plan rests on four core standards: privacy by default, deterministic control, verifiable risk management, and native connectivity to global markets, aiming to create "Incorruptible Financial Infrastructure."
A key component is expanding Prividium, the privacy-focused blockchain platform, into a tool for banks and asset managers to integrate privacy directly into their systems for workflows like access management and auditing. Furthermore, the ZK Stack toolkit will evolve into a comprehensive solution for building application-specific blockchains with enhanced liquidity and composability, building upon the Atlas upgrade rolled out last October.
Gluchowski stated that missing infrastructure, which couldn't handle data sensitivity or compliance constraints, previously blocked enterprise crypto adoption, but ZKsync aims to remove this barrier. The company expects 2026 to mark a shift to visible scale, anticipating multiple regulated financial institutions to launch production systems serving tens of millions of end users.
