RWA News: Securitize Rolls Out Tokenized Credit Fund with BNY on Ethereum

Tokenization specialist Securitize has rolled out the Securitize Tokenized AAA CLO Fund (STAC) on the Ethereum network, aiming to bring stable credit products like collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) onto blockchain rails amid growing interest in real-world assets (RWA).

BNY will serve as the custodian for the fund's assets, while its subsidiary, Insight, will handle investment management. Grove, the onchain capital allocator for Sky protocol, plans to anchor the fund with a $100 million investment. The tokenization aims to solve historical issues with CLOs, such as difficult access and slow settlement, by enabling faster settlement, better distribution, and easier fractional ownership for institutional investors seeking yield.

This move aligns with projections that the tokenized RWA market could reach $18.9 trillion by 2033. Securitize, which has already issued $4.5 billion in tokenized assets, is also planning to go public via a SPAC merger at a $1.25 billion valuation.
