110-year-old US retail chain Bealls now accepts crypto payments

The U.S. retail corporation Bealls, founded in 1915 and operating over 660 stores, has announced it now accepts cryptocurrency payments through an integration with digital payments firm Flexa.
This partnership allows customers at Bealls, Bealls Florida, and Home Centric locations to pay using more than 99 cryptocurrencies from over 300 digital wallets.
Flexa co-founder Trevor Filter praised Bealls for adopting what he called "the most important payments technology evolution the world has ever seen." The announcement notes that as of early 2025, approximately 28% of American adults, or 65 million people, owned cryptocurrencies.
