Strategy’s bitcoin holdings reach 640,418 BTC after latest $19 million buy

Bitcoin treasury company Strategy recently purchased an additional 168 BTC for approximately $18.8 million between October 13 and October 19, according to an 8-K filing. This latest purchase brings Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings to 640,418 BTC, acquired at an average cost of $74,010 per coin, representing a total investment of about $47.4 billion. These holdings are currently valued around $71.1 billion, implying significant paper gains. The acquisitions were funded using proceeds from its various at-the-market preferred stock programs (STRK, STRF, STRD). Co-founder Michael Saylor continues to signal ongoing purchases, emphasizing that "The most important orange dot is always the next."
