THORChain confirmed a $10 million security breach resulting from a vulnerability in its GG20 threshold signature scheme (TSS), which allowed attackers to reconstruct vault keys. The exploit affected 12,847 wallets across four chains. In response, the foundation has launched a self-custodial recovery portal that allows victims to revoke malicious token approvals and submit refund claims. Affected users have until June 4 to claim their compensation from a treasury-provisioned pool before remaining funds are moved to the protocol’s insurance fund.
