This decision follows a major $292 million exploit involving the liquid restaking protocol Kelp, which exposed vulnerabilities in legacy cross-chain infrastructure. Kraken intends to use CCIP across various blockchains like Ethereum, Ink, and Optimism. The exchange will retain custody of the assets, while the migration aligns Kraken with other major platforms and Coinbase that have adopted Chainlink's technology for secure token bridging.
