Ripple Ex-CTO David Schwartz Just Revealed Which Crypto Made Him the Most Money

David Schwartz, the former Chief Technology Officer of Ripple, has disclosed that XRP has been the cryptocurrency that generated the most personal wealth for him. Despite having held significant amounts of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in the past, and having gradually reduced his overall digital asset exposure, Schwartz revealed that his initial XRP allocation as a Ripple co-founder yielded the highest lifetime returns. He once held 26 million XRP, approximately 1,000 BTC, and 40,000 ETH, but has since sharply reduced these positions. Schwartz admitted to selling his Ethereum holdings at a low price of $1.05 and also sold his Bitcoin holdings early, well before its significant price surges. He described himself as risk-averse, often preferring to secure gains rather than hold for larger future profits, a paradox given that his major crypto investments ultimately performed better than expected. Currently, his remaining exposure is almost entirely in XRP and Ripple equity.
