AWS taps Coinbase and Stripe to power USDC payments for AI agents

This new feature allows AI agents to autonomously pay for services like web content and APIs using stablecoins, specifically USDC. The integration leverages Coinbase and Stripe for wallet infrastructure and payment processing, facilitating micropayments essential for the emerging "agentic economy." This move signifies Big Tech's adoption of blockchain payment rails for AI-driven transactions. Developers can create agentic payment solutions using protocols like x402, with both AWS and Coinbase being members of the x402 Foundation. This development aims to enable autonomous transaction systems by allowing AI agents to handle payments, even for fractions of a cent.
