Aave Liquidates Kelp DAO Hacker’s rsETH Positions

Aave Labs has successfully liquidated the remaining rsETH collateral held by the Kelp DAO attacker on the Ethereum and Arbitrum networks. This action is a major milestone in the "DeFi United" recovery plan, transferring the recovered funds to a multisignature wallet. The effort aims to fully restore the rsETH token, with the project now needing only 10% more Ether to bridge the remaining deficit caused by the $293 million exploit. Aave confirmed that its own insurance mechanisms were not triggered and user funds remained safe. While these liquidations have bolstered recovery efforts, additional funds remain frozen in a legal dispute involving the Arbitrum DAO, which Aave is currently working to resolve.
