The duo reportedly used the alias "Aghamir" to conceal their connections to the powerful Kharrazi family, which maintains deep ties to Iran’s supreme leadership. The exchange currently handles a significant portion of Iran's crypto activity and has continued operations despite geopolitical conflicts and international sanctions. While Nobitex denies government affiliation, analysts and investigators have identified substantial transactions linked to sanctioned entities and the Central Bank of Iran, suggesting the platform serves as a vital tool for bypassing financial restrictions.
