Fluent launches Ethereum Layer 2 mainnet and BLEND token with $50 million day-one liquidity

Fluent has officially launched its Ethereum Layer 2 mainnet, introducing a "blended execution" environment that enables applications from different virtual machines to operate within a unified state. The network debuted with $50 million in liquidity supporting its native stablecoin, USDnr, and integrates a reputation layer called Prints to provide programmable user profiles. At launch, seven decentralized applications are live, utilizing Fluent’s architecture to offer services like lending and credit modeling based on verified user reputation.

The project’s native utility token, BLEND, supports network operations, including transaction fees and staking. Following a successful public sale, BLEND will be used for both user and protocol staking to secure the network via the FluentBFT consensus mechanism. Fluent Labs, which has raised $11.2 million in total funding from investors including Polychain Capital, aims to foster a developer-friendly ecosystem where interoperability is achieved at the execution level through the use of rWasm.
