The service leverages Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) to enable a secure, 1:1 burn-and-mint process, ensuring users transfer native USDC rather than synthetic or wrapped versions. This development simplifies the user experience for CCTP transactions by offering transparent fees and automatic gas handling for destination chains. While the initial release focuses on EVM-enabled blockchains, it builds upon CCTP’s established infrastructure, which supports a wide range of major Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks.
