DoubleZero rolls out Edge, a low-latency onchain data delivery service on its global fiber DePIN infrastructure

The Block
DoubleZero has launched Edge, a decentralized fiber network providing low-latency onchain data delivery, starting with real-time Solana block data.

Summary

The DoubleZero Foundation has introduced the public beta of DoubleZero Edge, a decentralized, low-latency platform designed to deliver onchain market data. By utilizing a global fiber DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network), the service provides market participants with significantly faster data access, reducing variable latency and jitter found on the public internet. At launch, the platform focuses on delivering real-time Solana block data, with support from major infrastructure providers like Jito and Triton.

The service is designed to level the playing field for trading firms by providing the deterministic performance traditionally seen in legacy finance. Validators participating in the network earn revenue through a subscription model, incentivizing the expansion of the data feed. Supported by $28 million in funding and having received no-action relief from the SEC, DoubleZero aims to provide the foundational physical infrastructure necessary for the next generation of blockchain performance.
