XRPL Commons and Boundless have introduced zero-knowledge (ZK) proof technology to the XRP Ledger (XRPL), targeting institutional needs for confidentiality and regulatory compliance. This integration allows institutions to execute stablecoin payments, manage treasury positions, and engage in DeFi protocols without exposing sensitive transaction details on-chain. By using ZK proofs, the system enables private interactions while maintaining auditability and supporting features like sanction screening and KYC protocols. The technology is currently available on the XRPL testnet.
