Real-world asset blockchain Plume Network has launched a pilot program, in collaboration with payroll provider Toku and asset manager WisdomTree, to test a payroll system where employees can opt to receive part of their salary in tokenized shares of WisdomTree’s money market fund, WTGXX. This initiative aims to be the first to link everyday income directly to onchain yield, moving tokenized assets beyond trading into routine financial activity. The system is designed to be seamless for employees, removing the need for manual token purchases or exchange use; the elected portion of the salary is automatically converted and delivered to employee-linked wallets. The pilot is currently limited to Plume employees and serves as a reference model for broader integration of tokenized assets into payroll infrastructure.
