Umbra opens privacy wallet to the public on Solana, powered by Arcium’s encrypted execution engine

Umbra has made its privacy-preserving wallet publicly available on the Solana network, offering features like private transfers, encrypted swaps, and integrated compliance tools for traders, businesses, and institutions.

The wallet is powered by Arcium's encrypted execution engine, which allows computations over fully encrypted data, ensuring transaction confidentiality while remaining on-chain. This launch follows a limited private mainnet rollout and aims to solve the issue of public transaction visibility inherent in standard blockchains.

Key features include fully shielded sender, recipient, amount, and trade intent during swaps. Umbra also released an SDK based on zero-knowledge technology to extend Arcium's privacy infrastructure to other Solana developers. Umbra co-founder "Kru" stated the system makes privacy persistent and usable by default, addressing previous workarounds.
