Coinbase pushes order book, perps and futures data onchain with Chainlink’s DataLink bridge

Coinbase is leveraging Chainlink’s new DataLink service to publish its proprietary exchange market data directly onto the blockchain for the first time. This integration allows onchain protocols and applications to stream a variety of information feeds from Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Derivatives Exchange, making order book, futures, perpetuals, equities, and commodities data easily accessible and verifiable onchain. Coinbase aims to monetize this institutional-grade market information as it expands its offerings, while also enabling new use cases in DeFi and tokenized assets. This collaboration follows previous integrations where Coinbase selected Chainlink for its exclusive bridging solution for wrapped assets and the Base-Solana Bridge. DataLink, which launched late last year, is also utilized by major entities like S&P Global and FTSE Russell to bring offchain institutional data onchain.
