Visa Crypto Labs has introduced a command-line interface (CLI) designed to allow AI agents to execute secure, programmatic payments directly from the terminal. This tool aims to simplify payments for bots and automated workflows by eliminating the need to manage API keys. The CLI, currently in beta and accessible via a GitHub account, enables users to supply bots and scripts with the ability to pay for web services without human intervention. Visa joins Coinbase/Cloudflare (x402 protocol) and Stripe/Tempo (Machine Payments Protocol) in exploring standardized AI-native payment solutions.
