Robinhood Ventures Fund I invests in Stripe and ElevenLabs
Summary
Robinhood Ventures Fund I (RVI), Robinhood's first publicly traded closed-end venture fund, announced investments totaling over $34 million in two companies. The fund acquired approximately $14.6 million in Stripe Global Holdings Class B common stock via secondary market transactions on March 9. Three days later, RVI committed nearly $20 million to ElevenLabs' Series D preferred stock during a primary financing round.
Sarah Pinto, President of Robinhood Ventures Fund I, stated that these additions reflect RVI’s focus on innovative companies shaping the future of fintech (Stripe) and AI (ElevenLabs). Stripe is an established payments giant, while ElevenLabs develops AI-powered audio synthesis technology.
RVI began trading on the NYSE on March 6, offering retail investors exposure to high-growth private technology companies, bypassing traditional barriers that limited private market access to accredited investors.
