Hana Financial Group, a major South Korean financial conglomerate, signed a business agreement with the UK's Standard Chartered Group (SC Group) to cooperate across global financial sectors, specifically mentioning investment banking, money markets, foreign exchange, and digital assets. Hana Financial Chairman Ham Young-joo stated the goal is to create new growth opportunities through synergy in future financial areas like digital assets, leveraging both companies' networks and expertise. This partnership expands Hana Financial's digital asset initiatives, following recent collaborations with Circle (USDC issuer) and Crypto.com to promote stablecoin payments for foreign visitors in South Korea.
