Ripple, Franklin Templeton join $5 million seed round for AI agent trust startup t54 Labs

t54 Labs, a San Francisco startup developing a "trust layer" for agentic finance, secured $5 million in a seed funding round co-led by Anagram, PL Capital, and Franklin Templeton, with participation from Ripple. Founded in January 2025, t54 focuses on creating identity verification, risk assessment, and compliance tools for AI agents that execute financial transactions autonomously. The platform features four components: 'know your agent' identity verification, real-time risk scoring, credit offerings, and integrated settlement. While not strictly a crypto firm, t54 utilizes blockchain, such as the XRP Ledger, Solana, and Base, as a settlement and accountability layer for programmable, auditable financial rails. Franklin Templeton noted that t54 is building the necessary framework as AI agents enter financial markets.
