Bitwise acquires Chorus One to expand institutional staking business

Bitwise Asset Management announced the acquisition of Chorus One, a staking infrastructure provider founded in 2018, which adds over $2.2 billion in staked assets to Bitwise's portfolio. Chorus One will be integrated into Bitwise Onchain Solutions, Bitwise's institutional staking division, significantly deepening its proof-of-stake infrastructure capabilities across more than 30 networks with 50 new technology specialists joining the team. This move is intended to capitalize on growing institutional interest in yield-generating crypto strategies, especially following the approval of spot crypto ETFs. Chorus One CEO Brian Crain will move to an advisory role as the integration proceeds, positioning Bitwise as a vertically integrated firm offering ETFs, infrastructure, and staking services.
