Nansen to Set up Bhutan Entity in Gelephu Mindfulness City

Blockchain analytics company Nansen announced plans to incorporate a local entity and build a team within Bhutan's Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC), a Special Administrative Region focused on digital asset development. CEO Alex Svanevik stated this expansion complements, but does not replace, Nansen's Singapore operations, emphasizing GMC's unique, values-driven economic framework where digital assets are foundational. Nansen intends to hire locally to develop on-the-ground analytics capabilities for regional industry participants. GMC is central to Bhutan's digital asset strategy, which includes regulatory frameworks, custody infrastructure, and the government's allocation of up to 10,000 BTC for development. Nansen joins other digital asset firms, like Cumberland DRW, entering the emerging ecosystem.
