Crypto exchange giant Binance revives tokenized stocks trading with Ondo Finance

Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, is reintroducing tokenized stock trading nearly five years after halting a similar product due to regulatory pressure. The exchange has partnered with tokenization specialist Ondo Finance to list 10 tokenized U.S. stocks, ETFs, and commodity-linked products on Binance Alpha, a platform within the Binance Wallet for early-stage projects. The listed assets include tokenized versions of Apple, Google, Tesla, Nvidia shares, and the QQQ ETF, though they are unavailable to U.S. users. This move follows Binance's previous tokenized stock offering in 2021 and aligns with a growing trend in the sector, which is approaching $1 billion in total value, led by Ondo Finance.
