Nansen to Set Up Operations in Bhutan’s Gelephu Mindfulness City

On-chain analytics platform Nansen is establishing an operational presence in Bhutan's Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) by incorporating a local entity and hiring a Bhutan-based team. CEO Alex Svanevik clarified this is an additional entity, not a relocation from their Singapore headquarters, citing Bhutan's vision for a values-driven economic zone with digital assets foundational to its structure.

GMC is designed for sustainable development and has attracted attention for integrating digital assets at the sovereign level, including holding crypto in strategic reserves and developing bespoke regulations. Svanevik noted this sovereign commitment and progressive regulatory framework are rare differentiators that position Nansen to be a pioneer in that ecosystem.

This move aligns with Nansen's broader strategy to evolve from an analytics tool into a full-stack, AI-first on-chain investing platform, which includes AI-powered trade execution. Nansen believes its expanded capabilities will be well-positioned as GMC's infrastructure matures around custody, tokenization, and institutional liquidity.
