Chainlink’s Taylor Lindman joins SEC as chief counsel for crypto task force

Taylor Lindman, the former deputy general counsel at Chainlink Labs, has been appointed as the chief counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) crypto task force, starting Monday. Lindman succeeds Michael Selig, who moved to become chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). During his tenure at Chainlink, Lindman gained significant legal experience concerning oracle networks and smart contract data infrastructure in institutional finance. Chainlink expressed support for the move, looking forward to modernizing the U.S. financial system. The SEC's crypto task force, which operates under Commissioner Hester Peirce, was established last year amid broader policy shifts and has been actively engaged in roundtable discussions regarding the regulation of tokenization and decentralized finance.
