Trump-linked World Liberty taps Securitize for Maldives resort tokenization
Summary
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), co-founded by Eric Trump, has selected Securitize, a firm backed by BlackRock, to structure and tokenize loan interests related to the Trump International Hotel and Resort in the Maldives. Investors will acquire tokens linked to loan revenue rather than direct property equity, offering eligible accredited investors a fixed yield and payments based on the loan's performance under U.S. private placement rules. Securitize will manage the issuance and compliance for these tokens representing interests in the development loan. The Maldives resort project, developed with DarGlobal, is slated for completion in 2030. This move extends WLFI's goal of bringing decentralized finance access to real estate tokenization.
