FutureBit launches Apollo III, U.S.-Engineered Home Bitcoin Miner

FutureBit has introduced the Apollo III, a new home Bitcoin mining system integrated into a single desktop device that also functions as a full Bitcoin node. The system utilizes next-generation 3nm American-designed ASICs and a custom in-house controller, marking the first U.S.-engineered Bitcoin ASIC paired with a domestically built hardware platform in a consumer form factor. Founder John Stefanopoulos emphasized that the device, offering up to 18 TH/s in Turbo Mode, strengthens Bitcoin decentralization by putting efficient hash power directly into individuals' hands. Key specifications include an integrated full node with solo mining capability, an 8-core ARM controller, 8 GB RAM, and a 2 TB SSD. FutureBit's mission with the Apollo line is to promote network decentralization by enabling individuals to run both a miner and a node, restoring what they call "full Bitcoin citizenship" and ensuring privacy and verification without reliance on industrial operations.
