Anthony Scaramucci’s son buys Logan Paul’s previously tokenized Pokemon card for record $16 million

A.J. Scaramucci, son of SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci, purchased Logan Paul's highly coveted Pikachu Illustrator Pokemon card, graded PSA 10, for $16.49 million, setting a new record for a trading card sale. The previous record was $13 million for a Michael Jordan-Kobe Bryant Dual Logoman card. Logan Paul had originally bought the card in 2021 for $5.3 million and later listed fractional ownership on his Liquid Marketplace platform, which faced regulatory scrutiny from the Ontario Securities Commission in 2024 for alleged securities violations. Paul stated he bought back the fractional shares in May 2024 and ensured users could withdraw their funds, even after the platform went offline temporarily. A.J. Scaramucci expressed plans to acquire other high-value collectibles, including a T-Rex fossil and the Declaration of Independence.
