U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Mike Selig has named 35 executives to the inaugural Innovation Advisory Committee (IAC), repurposing a previous CEO council. This group, which includes Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, will advise the derivatives regulator as it takes on oversight duties in crypto markets. The committee features prominent figures from the crypto sector like the CEOs of Robinhood and Uniswap Labs, alongside leaders from traditional finance and exchanges such as Nasdaq, CME Group, and Cboe Global Markets. Selig stated the IAC will be a major asset in modernizing rules for current and future innovations.
