OKX Ventures backs STBL in partnership with Hamilton Lane and Securitize

CoinDesk
OKX Ventures invested in STBL to launch an RWA-backed stablecoin on the X Layer blockchain via a partnership with Hamilton Lane and Securitize.

Summary

OKX Ventures, the venture capital arm of OKX, has made a strategic investment in STBL, a stablecoin and yield infrastructure provider co-founded by Tether co-founder Reeve Collins. STBL also announced a partnership with alternative-investment manager Hamilton Lane (HLNE) and regulated digital securities firm Securitize. The collaboration aims to develop a real-world asset (RWA)-backed stablecoin on OKX's Ethereum-compatible layer-2 blockchain, X Layer. This endeavor includes a feeder fund to Hamilton Lane's Senior Credit Opportunities Fund (SCOPE), which will be issued and tokenized through Securitize. STBL's CEO, Avtar Sehra, stated that this architecture provides compliant yield management for RWA-backed stablecoins. Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo added that embedding institutional private credit into onchain flows turns tokenized assets into functional building blocks usable across financial applications.
