Zerohash adds Monad support to expand USDC stablecoin payments

Zerohash, a crypto infrastructure company valued at $1 billion, has added support for the Monad blockchain and USDC on Monad, aiming to expand stablecoin payment options for its clients. This integration allows Zerohash's clients, such as Kalshi, Gusto, and Public, to deploy stablecoin payment flows without managing blockchain infrastructure or regulatory licensing. Monad Foundation noted that Monad's speed and dependability could help scale stablecoin usage, offering near-instant finality. While Ethereum currently dominates Zerohash's stablecoin activity, the company sees growing use across other Layer 1s and Layer 2s. Zerohash plans to support more stablecoins on Monad as they become available, anticipating usage will follow performance and cost efficiency. The company previously raised $104 million in a Series D-2 round and is reportedly in talks for further funding after acquisition discussions with Mastercard concluded.
