Aviva Investors to tokenize funds on XRP Ledger in Ripple partnership

Aviva Investors, the asset management division of U.K. insurer Aviva, has announced a partnership with blockchain firm Ripple to tokenize its traditional fund structures on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). This collaboration marks Aviva Investors' first move into tokenization, with Ripple providing support for issuing and managing these tokenized funds on the public blockchain. For Ripple, this is a significant first partnership with a Europe-based investment manager, furthering its goal of bringing regulated financial assets onchain. Asset managers are increasingly adopting tokenization for benefits like faster settlement, lower costs, and features such as fractional ownership.
