CME Group debuts Cardano, Chainlink and Stellar futures

Crypto Briefing
CME Group has launched futures contracts for Cardano, Chainlink, and Stellar, expanding its regulated digital asset derivatives offerings.

Summary

CME Group, a major derivatives exchange, has introduced new futures contracts for Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), and Stellar (XLM), broadening its regulated cryptocurrency product suite. These contracts are available in both standard and micro sizes to offer flexibility to institutional and retail traders. For instance, the large Cardano future is sized at 100,000 ADA, with a micro version at 10,000 ADA, and similar sizing applies to LINK and XLM. This expansion follows rising demand for trusted digital asset products and comes after a record year for CME's digital-asset derivatives business in 2025, which saw significant volume and open interest. Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group’s Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products, stated that these new contracts provide market participants with greater choice, flexibility, and capital efficiency.
