ETH news: MetaMask integrates Ondo to offer 200+ tokenized U.S. stocks inside wallet

MetaMask, the self-custodial wallet, has integrated with Ondo Finance’s Global Markets platform to provide eligible users in supported non-U.S. jurisdictions access to over 200 tokenized U.S. securities, including stocks like Tesla and Apple, and ETFs tracking commodities and the Nasdaq. This integration allows users to buy and trade these assets directly within the MetaMask mobile wallet without needing a traditional brokerage account. This launch is significant as it marks one of the first times tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs are natively available through a major self-custodial wallet, advancing the integration of real-world asset tokenization with traditional finance. Joe Lubin of Consensys highlighted that this move offers a better model by allowing users to access both crypto and traditional assets in a single, self-custodial wallet without intermediaries.
