Epstein Files Show Email Flagging Coinbase’s 2019 Crypto Controversy

Newly released documents from the Epstein files show that Jeffrey Epstein received an email on March 12, 2019, from finance consultant Richard Kahn, flagging a "massive controversy" surrounding Coinbase's recent acquisition of the blockchain analytics firm Neutrino. This controversy stemmed from Neutrino's founders having previously worked at Hacking Team, a surveillance software company accused of human rights abuses, leading to a significant backlash, the #DeleteCoinbase campaign, and criticism from figures like Kraken CEO Jesse Powell. The email's subject line also referenced Ripple's XRP, reflecting the heightened scrutiny Coinbase faced at the time, shortly after listing XRP. Although Coinbase later announced the exit of Neutrino employees linked to Hacking Team, the files indicate Epstein was monitoring the intersection of cryptocurrency, finance, and elite power networks.
