This integration enables AI systems like ChatGPT and Gemini to reliably check balances, transfer tokens, and execute transactions directly on the MultiversX network, addressing the current issue where LLMs often generate incorrect blockchain interaction code.
The rollout is further supported by MultiversX's recent addition of x402, a payment protocol incubated by Coinbase that embeds payments into standard web requests. Together, UCP and x402 facilitate "agentic commerce," allowing AI systems to programmatically access services and move funds, with potential uses ranging from research agents paying for data to automated trading strategies interacting with DeFi applications.
