Fed chair nominee Kevin Warsh not necessarily a hawk, says close colleague Stanley Druckenmiller

Stanley Druckenmiller, a close colleague of Kevin Warsh since 2011, disputes the conventional wisdom labeling Warsh, Donald Trump's nominee to replace Jerome Powell as Fed Chair, as strictly hawkish. Druckenmiller stated that Warsh's branding as always hawkish is incorrect, noting he has seen Warsh take different stances. Druckenmiller, who made billions with George Soros and at Duquesne Capital Management, asserted that he could not think of anyone else on the planet better equipped for the role. Furthermore, Druckenmiller expressed excitement about the potential partnership between Warsh and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, whom Druckenmiller also hired decades ago, emphasizing that an accord between the Treasury Secretary and the Fed Chair is ideal.
