Robinhood (HOOD) is investing in crypto trading platform Talos at $1.5 valuation

Robinhood is participating in the extended Series B funding round for Talos, an institutional trading technology provider for digital assets, which values Talos at approximately $1.5 billion. This extension raised an additional $45 million, bringing the total Series B capital to $150 million, and attracted new strategic investors including Sony Innovation Fund, IMC, QCP, and Karatage, alongside existing backers like a16z crypto and Fidelity Investments. Talos CEO Anton Katz noted the investment accommodates partners aligned with the migration of traditional assets to digital rails. Robinhood's investment supports its own crypto expansion strategy, leveraging Talos's infrastructure to enhance liquidity and features for Robinhood Crypto customers. Talos provides institutional-grade infrastructure for the entire digital asset trading lifecycle, serving hundreds of clients across 35 countries, with traditional finance firms comprising a significant portion of new customers.
