Ex-Revolut duo raise $6 million seed round to expand onchain finance app Bleap

Former Revolut executives Joao Alves and Guilherme Gomes secured a $6 million seed funding round, led by Blossom Capital, to scale their onchain finance application, Bleap. This follows a $2.3 million pre-seed round led by Ethereal Ventures in late 2024. Bleap, which aims to rebuild finance using blockchain as the settlement layer, offers users a self-custodial account for spending, saving, and moving value globally without relying on traditional banks. The app allows for zero-FX markup spending, stablecoin cashback, and fee-free cross-border transfers. Since its last raise, Bleap has grown to over 20,000 users and processed $30 million in transactions in 2025, while also expanding functionality to include cross-chain trading. The company is applying for authorization under Europe's MiCA framework and is expanding into Latin America, with a potential native token launch now targeted for early 2027.
