Nifty Gateway, the Gemini-owned NFT marketplace, has detailed plans to preserve user assets following its announced shutdown amid the NFT market downturn. The platform intends to migrate most NFT metadata and media to Arweave, a decentralized network for permanent archival. For a subset of NFTs minted in 2021 or earlier whose metadata is linked to Nifty Gateway's servers, the company has pledged to host that metadata indefinitely. Furthermore, Nifty Gateway has extended the withdrawal deadline for users to April 23, providing a 90-day window, and is developing a bulk withdrawal tool to assist users with multiple assets.
