This move brought its total holdings to over 4.24 million tokens, representing 3.52% of Ether's supply. The purchase was enabled by shareholder approval to expand the company's authorized share count, allowing it to raise additional funds through equity issuance. In addition to its crypto holdings, which also include 193 Bitcoin and $682 million in cash, BitMine has staked over 2 million ETH, nearly half its total, turning a significant portion into a yield-generating asset. Chairman Tom Lee anticipates generating over $400 million in annual pre-tax income from these Ether holdings.
