An Ethereum whale address, dormant since 2017 when it acquired 135,000 ETH from Bitfinex, recently resurfaced. The wallet transferred 50,000 ETH, valued at approximately $145 million, in two separate 25,000 ETH transactions to a Gemini wallet on Sunday. Despite this large movement, the address still retains about 85,283 ETH. This event follows a similar instance of whale activity in the Bitcoin market where a 13-year dormant wallet moved 909 BTC. At the time of the report, Ether was trading down 2.8% over 24 hours at $2,859.
