Chainlink acquires Atlas to power DeFi liquidation auctions across more blockchains
Summary
Chainlink has acquired Atlas, an onchain order flow infrastructure developed by FastLane, to enhance its oracle-based Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) recapture protocol, Chainlink SVR. The acquisition includes Atlas intellectual property and core personnel, and existing Atlas users will migrate to SVR. Atlas brings production-tested liquidation auction technology, already used by protocols like Compound and Venus, into SVR. Chainlink SVR targets Oracle Extractable Value (OEV), allowing lending protocols to reclaim MEV from liquidations using Chainlink Price Feeds, and is currently live on five chains, having already recaptured over $10 million in OEV. FastLane cited Chainlink’s scale and security as reasons for the transfer, positioning the integration to create what Chainlink Labs calls “the most effective value recapture system DeFi has ever had.”
