Figure takes operational role at Provenance Blockchain Foundation under community-led structure

Figure Technology Solutions is formalizing its operational support for the Provenance Blockchain Foundation, providing technical, administrative, and operational resources. Despite this increased involvement, governance authority remains with HASH token holders through on-chain voting, ensuring the Foundation operates independently and Figure abstains from governance votes.

This structural update coincides with planned revisions to HASH tokenomics, introducing network fees to compensate validators and delegators, shifting incentives from pure token issuance toward usage-based economics, as advocated by Figure co-founder Mike Cagney. Figure holds about 25% of the HASH supply but does not anticipate material incremental operating expenses from this change.

The move supports Figure's deepening reliance on Provenance as core infrastructure, particularly with the launch of its On-Chain Public Equity Network (OPEN) for issuing and trading equities natively on the chain, alongside its existing on-chain credit marketplace.
