Hyperliquid has reclaimed the leading position among perpetual decentralized exchanges (DEXs), recording $40.7 billion in weekly trading volume, pushing Aster to second ($31.7 billion) and Lighter to third ($25.3 billion). This shift is attributed to Lighter's weekly volume dropping nearly threefold from its peak as airdrop holders exit the platform, with its native LIT token subsequently falling to a record low of $1.68. Hyperliquid also dominates in 24-hour open interest at $9.57 billion, surpassing the combined total of its major competitors. Lighter's token has lost 37% of its value over the past month, reflecting the post-airdrop slowdown amid broader market weakness, while competitor Aster's token also tumbled to a record low.
