Interactive Brokers adds USDC funding, with Ripple and PayPal stablecoin support next week
Summary
Interactive Brokers has introduced the ability for eligible US clients to fund their brokerage accounts using USD Coin (USDC) for near-instant deposits available 24/7. This feature, which allows trading across 170 global markets within minutes, initially supports USDC transfers via Ethereum, Solana, or Base, where the stablecoin is automatically converted to USD. Support for Ripple's RLUSD and PayPal's PYUSD is scheduled to launch next week. While Interactive Brokers charges no fees for these stablecoin deposits, clients must cover blockchain network fees, and the partner Zerohash applies a 0.3% conversion fee per deposit.
