Strategy acquires $1.2B worth in Bitcoin at $91,500

Strategy, a publicly traded company known for its Bitcoin treasury strategy, disclosed in an SEC filing that it acquired 13,627 Bitcoin for about $1.2 billion between January 5 and January 11, paying an average price of approximately $91,500 per Bitcoin. The acquisition was financed by selling shares through its at-the-market offering program, generating $1.1 billion from MSTR Class A common stock sales and $119 million from STRC preferred stock sales. Following this purchase, Strategy now holds a total of 687,410 Bitcoin, purchased at an aggregate cost of $51.8 billion, resulting in an average purchase price of about $75,350 per coin. The company retains substantial capacity for future stock offerings to fund further acquisitions.
